Privacy Policy

Your photographs

Photographs you open in this tool are never uploaded. Face detection, background separation, cropping and encoding all run inside your own browser using WebAssembly. No copy of your image is transmitted to this site's servers or to any third party, and no copy is stored anywhere after you close or reload the page.

This is a property of how the tool is built, not a policy promise we ask you to take on trust. You can verify it: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and process a photo. You will see requests for the model files and nothing carrying your image.

What is collected

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect names, email addresses or any other personal details. Standard server logs may record the IP address, browser user agent and requested URL of visits, which is unavoidable in serving a website and is used only to keep the site running and to diagnose faults.

Advertising and cookies

This site displays advertising supplied by Google, which pays for its hosting. Google and its partners may set cookies or read existing ones to serve and measure ads, and may use your approximate location and browsing history to choose which ads to show. This happens through Google's advertising systems; we never pass your photograph or any image data to them, because we never have a copy to pass on.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before any non-essential cookie is set, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. You can also review and adjust the ads you see at Google My Ad Center, and opt out of personalised advertising from participating vendors at aboutads.info.

Your rights

Because we hold no account and no photographs, there is normally no personal data of yours for us to show you, correct or delete. If you believe we hold something about you and want it removed, contact us and we will act on it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. A parent making a passport photo for a child is of course welcome to use the tool; the photograph stays on their device like any other.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the site.
