What this site provides

This site provides a free tool that crops and formats a photograph to the published specification for a passport, visa or similar document, and summarises those published specifications. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any government, passport authority, embassy or consulate.

Accuracy, and what we cannot promise

The measurements on each page are transcribed from the official source linked at the bottom of that page, and each carries the date a person last checked it. Requirements do change, and specifications are sometimes interpreted differently by different offices handling the same application.

We therefore cannot guarantee that a photograph produced here will be accepted. The tool reports whether the output meets the measurements we hold on file; acceptance is the decision of the authority receiving your application, and factors it judges by eye — expression, lighting, shadows on your face, whether your hair covers your eyes — are outside what any automated check can confirm. Always read the authority's own page before you submit, and treat the linked source as authoritative over this site.

Acceptable use

Use the tool for your own photographs, or for photographs you have permission to process. Do not use it to produce images intended to misrepresent someone's identity, and do not attempt to interfere with the site's operation or with other visitors' use of it.

Liability

The tool is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of this site, including a rejected application, a missed appointment, a delayed trip, or fees you paid to an authority. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Intellectual property

The text, design and code of this site belong to its operator. Your photographs remain entirely yours; we neither receive nor claim any rights in them.

Changes

These terms may be updated, and the date above will change when they are. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
